General Information: Things to Know

The CRC has won various awards including “Best Practice in Technology Transfer and Research Centers” from the National Council for Urban Economic Development and selection to “IT-PARCS”, a network of the best research parks in the world.
 
All tenant employees are entitled to a Hokie Passport that gives them numerous “faculty” benefits.
 
The CRC’s value proposition is the availability of high-quality business assistance services rather than just real estate. The expectation is that these services will make companies more successful than they would have been otherwise and, hence, the CRC will be successful.
 
The CRC offers business assistance services through the Business / Technology Center and through the VT KnowledgeWorks incubator program..

The CRC conducts formal and informal training programs.
 
The CRC provides the telecom infrastructure and provides Internet access from multiple tier one suppliers.
 
The CRC helps tenants with their personnel recruiting needs and other human resource services through MBA Management.
 
The CRC has an restaurant called the Sigma Grill & Lounge in RB XII.
 
The CRC has a great fitness center called The Weight Club @ CRC that offers corporate and individual memberships.

The CRC has an on-site bank in the Garvin Building and an ATM in the RB II parking lot.
 
Cleaner World picks up and delivers dry cleaning in the bank in the Garvin Building on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:30 am.
 
CRC tenant employees can get a discount at South Main Auto by showing their CRC Hokie Passport.
 
CRC tenants can obtain quotes for discounted airfares on USAIR from Martin Travel.
