Virginia Tech Foundation Appoints Maggie Millhiser as Chief Investment Officer

BLACKSBURG, Va. The Virginia Tech Foundation has appointed Maggie Millhiser as Chief Investment Officer, a seasoned investment professional with nearly two decades of experience, to lead the Foundation’s investment program and continue advancing the long-term stewardship of assets in support of Virginia Tech.

Millhiser has previously served the Foundation as Interim Chief Investment Officer and Managing Director of Investments. During her tenure, she has played an important role in advancing the Foundation’s investment strategy, strengthening investment operations, supporting portfolio positioning, and contributing to the continued development of the investment office team.

Before joining the Foundation, Millhiser served as Director at VCU Investment Management Company, where she led portfolio investments and managed endowment and client accounts. Her extensive background also includes portfolio management and private equity roles at Investure, LLC and Five Points Capital.

Millhiser holds an MBA with High Distinction from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Richmond.
